*Day Fifteen-Seventeen* Interview w/ The Movement Radio Show (3 Songs From Dreaming Out Loud)

smh...i need to do another photoshoot

Armond Interview w/ The Movement Radio Show

so yesterday I was invited to do an interview with an upstart podcast called "The Movement Radio Show", it's a Christian based show that talks about the things of God from an unconventional POV, which I love. seriously, if you can't tell by now that I'm totally against a lot of the things going on when it comes to Christianity, you ain't listening hard enough. ANYWAY (before I go on another rant), they asked about Dreaming Out Loud (12 days away!!!!) & they also asked how I felt about the state of hip hop & how it relates to God, and where did I see it going. it was a REALLY dope conversation & they've already offered me the opportunity to not only come back & do more shows with them as a co-host, but also to have my own radio show (as they're trying to expand their network)...SO, if y'all remember Effect Radio from last summer, that might be coming back *Dr. Claw laugh*.

Also I played 3 brand new songs off the mixtape since I hadn't updated this in so long. You're welcome...

New England Music Seminar

Yesterday was pretty damn productive - spent all day at the New England Music Seminar, once again learned a lot from all the panelists, and I placed 3rd in the Beat Battle. So all in all, a pretty good day. Shoutout to DN8 and Ralphie O for placing first and second, respectively, in the beat battle and inspiring me to step my game up a notch. DN8 was shooting some video so whenever I get that online I'll definitely post it, can't wait to see Ralphie O's *ridiculous* Thriller beat again.

*Day Fourteen* “Live Freestyle On 89.1FM*

am i a day ahead??? dah well...

the reason why I'm posting this is because I have an interview with The Movement Radio Show this Sunday, so I'm backtracking to give y'all a quick history lesson.

if you're unfamiliar, the gentlemen that are posing along side me are collectively known as the Triangle Effect; six individuals I met in Japan & ended up creating a brotherhood in the process. Ca$h, the other MC in the group & I released our CDs "Wake Up 2" & "Ca$hualty" & created a HUGE buzz for us in Japan. We were performing for as many as 2,000 people, & our CDs reached 10 countries & reached amass of 10k+ downloads. So yeah, we had a pretty good following at the time. We were invited to 89.1, the country's only American station for an interview. I've enclosed the full interview below. But here's the freestyle...and uhhhhhh yeah, nobody else can rhyme on Kingdom Come after this.

*Day Nine-Thirteen* Columbus Day Megapost (5 Tracks, 2 Brand New)

Long story short, got wrapped up Friday, was in the studio all day Saturday so I figured since I missed two days, I might as well knock out this weekend in one shot, cuz I'ma be in the studio again all day tomorrow. so here goes...(the new tracks are the last two at the bottom)

Day Nine- "You Will Never Know" feat K. Wilder

"You Will Never Know" (Right Click & Save As To Download)

Unless you've completely underminded my music over the last 4 years, you know I have a daughter. A goofy, silly, intelligent, beautiful daughter named Amaiya. And if you've listened (like you should) then you'd know all the circumstances surrounding my relationship with her over the years...being in Japan when she was born & ultimately missing the 1st year & a half of her life, ups & downs with her mother (we good now lol), and just her presence alone growing & stretching me as a father & overall person. I wrote this record the day before I left to go see her for the 1st time. I've never been that nervous in my entire life, but I emptied out everything I wanted to say to her on this record & it's a lot of folks favorite. Enjoy...

*Day Ten* "Close Your Eyes"

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Close Your Eyes (produced by Doc) (Right Click & Save As To Download)

This was basically a part two to "You Will Never Know". I was about to return home from Japan after being stationed there for 2 years & I was excited; I had grown weary of being 13 hours away from America & all my friends, & most of all my daughter. I was at work & my supervisor was playing a Kelly Price CD & this song came on where she was singing to her daughter about being away from home, not out of desire, but necessity. Sent the song to Doc that day & he cooked the track up by the next day. Ahhhhh to have no responsibility & all the time in the world to do music, I miss those days.

*Day Eleven* "Beautiful"

everybody's favorite from Wake Up 2...basically God has His hand on EVERYTHING, so even in this chaos, everything is beautiful & there's something bigger & greater than RIGHT NOW, and trust that it's gonna come to pass...

*Day Twelve* "Dealing REMIX feat Eric Roberson & Lalah Hathaway"

Armond- Dealing (Remix) feat Eric Roberson & Lalah Hathaway (Right Click & Save As To Download)

so my homegirl has been trying to put me onto Eric Roberson ever since we met & I've blown her off. Finally I picked up his last album "Music Fan First" & I was floored. dude is DOPE...(check this record called "Two People"...sick) BUT!!!!! i heard this song & immediately it hit me. EVERYBODY has dealt with a person where you were either Forthenight's, cuddle buddy's, cutty buddies (keep it one million) & somebody catches feelings. It's downright impossible to pretend you're in a relationship & not feel the effects of BEING in a relationship. so based off a LOT of personal experience, it took me 10 minutes to crack this open. Love this joint...

*Day Thirteen* "Sky Might Fall"

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Sky Might Fall (Right Click & Save As To Download)

ok yeah...this is SICK!!! written on Friday, recorded on Saturday, halfway mixed on Sunday. i'll prolly play with the levels & re-release it in a few days but until then, this is good enough. Love this song (Cudi is still trash, sorry Doc...and Money Bagz...and Quote, lol)

Armond-Watching Over Me

i wasn't even planning on putting this out, but i ran across it on the ipod today.

i'ma try & post occasionally based on my mood. i did that yesterday w/ Anything Is Possible & I'm doing that here again. today was a VERY draining day, nothing went right & I've been really gloomy & moody all day. so i'm @ work listening to my ipod on shuffle & this comes on. i remember where i am mentally when i wrote this song. originally Monday Morning was gonna be VERY gloomy & moody. and this was the jump off. this is unmixed, VERY rough, but i'm not gonna use this anywhere else & frankly, this is how I feel today, so why not.

*Day Seven* "Anything Is Possible" (Right Click & Save As To Download)

today is just...overwhelming. after being denied without my son for 3 months, i was finally granted the opportunity to be apart of his life once again. when i had everybody else tell me that I'd never see him again. words just can't describe today, so if this song title doesn't describe my mood, what more could i say?

*Day Six* "Do You (Remix) feat Ne-Yo (Right Click & Save As to Download)

Day 6 & this has already begun to be routine. I'm gonna switch it up a little bit & go r&b thug today. I enjoy doing r&b remixes to songs, I try my best to build on top of the perspective the artist went in without compromising the song by having a "rapper" on it. Way too many records get ruined that way.

"Do You" is one of my favorite songs of all time. EVERYBODY can relate to having "the one that got away", unless you live in a bubble or you married the person you went to kindergarten with. My verse is indeed a true story. I dated a girl for a short time in 2003, but due to me being an idiot, she broke up with me for another lame guy. In retrospect it took me probably 3 years to really get all the way over her. So when I heard this record, I instantly thought of her. Maybe a month or so after I recorded the song, a friend hit me up & said they ran into her & she was very interested in where I was & what I was doing. Shortly after that she actually hit me up on myspace. We talked everyday for about 3 weeks & a piece of me wanted to play this song for her, I alluded to it but ended up not pulling the trigger. By this time she was married with children & seemed genuinely happy. And I think that conversation is what led to me finally closing that door & locking it. So this record definitely holds some weight with me & I hope y'all can enjoy it & relate.

Armond- 31 Days Of Dreams Freestyle

Day four people...after the craziness that was this weekend I finally got my studio (somewhat) up & functional & decided to drop y'all a quickie. Sound quality isn't the best, but whatever shut up. I'ma try & do another record today & have something new for y'all tomorrow. Maybe I should stop promising y'all stuff.

Oh yeah, BIG BIG thank you to everybody that's showing support, retweeting on twitter, posting links on FB...wait i say all this in the freestyle SMH. But I appreciate you guys, this is the best way to promote this thing. Doc says the hits are definitely coming in so I appreciate that. Stay tuned, we've barely scratched the surface.

Armond – 31 Days Of Dreams Day Three: “Time’s A Wasting”

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Day Three: "Time's A Wasting" (Right Click & Save As To Download)

Day three, we should be smooth sailing from here on out...

I have a dilemma with this record. I LOVE this song...this is one of those records that gives me chills everytime I play it...which has probably been 300 times over the last 2 years (yes it's that old).

But I really wanna put this on a project & I'm not sure if it will fit. Well, I guess since 31 Days Of Dreams IS a project (technically) then I just solved my own problem then huh? SMH...

ANYWAY, I really can't explain why this record is so amazing to me, or what stands out. I remember being late for church cuz I wrote the 3rd verse like 10 minutes before I was supposed to leave. This track was originally over Juelz Santana "Why" (that Usher sample is ridiculous). But this Erykah Badu record is/was one of my favorite songs ever & "Mama's Gun" is an incredible album (forgive my contradictions Quinni), I had to...
