today is just...overwhelming. after being denied without my son for 3 months, i was finally granted the opportunity to be apart of his life once again. when i had everybody else tell me that I'd never see him again. words just can't describe today, so if this song title doesn't describe my mood, what more could i say?

Day 6 & this has already begun to be routine. I'm gonna switch it up a little bit & go r&b thug today. I enjoy doing r&b remixes to songs, I try my best to build on top of the perspective the artist went in without compromising the song by having a "rapper" on it. Way too many records get ruined that way.
"Do You" is one of my favorite songs of all time. EVERYBODY can relate to having "the one that got away", unless you live in a bubble or you married the person you went to kindergarten with. My verse is indeed a true story. I dated a girl for a short time in 2003, but due to me being an idiot, she broke up with me for another lame guy. In retrospect it took me probably 3 years to really get all the way over her. So when I heard this record, I instantly thought of her. Maybe a month or so after I recorded the song, a friend hit me up & said they ran into her & she was very interested in where I was & what I was doing. Shortly after that she actually hit me up on myspace. We talked everyday for about 3 weeks & a piece of me wanted to play this song for her, I alluded to it but ended up not pulling the trigger. By this time she was married with children & seemed genuinely happy. And I think that conversation is what led to me finally closing that door & locking it. So this record definitely holds some weight with me & I hope y'all can enjoy it & relate.

Armond- 31 Days Of Dreams Freestyle
Day four people...after the craziness that was this weekend I finally got my studio (somewhat) up & functional & decided to drop y'all a quickie. Sound quality isn't the best, but whatever shut up. I'ma try & do another record today & have something new for y'all tomorrow. Maybe I should stop promising y'all stuff.
Oh yeah, BIG BIG thank you to everybody that's showing support, retweeting on twitter, posting links on FB...wait i say all this in the freestyle SMH. But I appreciate you guys, this is the best way to promote this thing. Doc says the hits are definitely coming in so I appreciate that. Stay tuned, we've barely scratched the surface.

Day three, we should be smooth sailing from here on out...
I have a dilemma with this record. I LOVE this song...this is one of those records that gives me chills everytime I play it...which has probably been 300 times over the last 2 years (yes it's that old).
But I really wanna put this on a project & I'm not sure if it will fit. Well, I guess since 31 Days Of Dreams IS a project (technically) then I just solved my own problem then huh? SMH...
ANYWAY, I really can't explain why this record is so amazing to me, or what stands out. I remember being late for church cuz I wrote the 3rd verse like 10 minutes before I was supposed to leave. This track was originally over Juelz Santana "Why" (that Usher sample is ridiculous). But this Erykah Badu record is/was one of my favorite songs ever & "Mama's Gun" is an incredible album (forgive my contradictions Quinni), I had to...

I'm mad people...everything that could go wrong, has managed to. As a result I'm not able to give you the track I would've liked, BUT it's a dope track nonetheless. Unreleased for the most part.
"Me" represents moreso of a decision that a minority in our society chooses to make. With such an emphasis to please the masses, or please others...when will we choose "Me"?? i spent much of 2009 trying to please others & I ended up losing "Me" in the process. So this is almost like a declaration to myself, you can put God first & still choose "Me"...enjoy.

due to technical difficulties, I gotta write this one out & not vlog it...I'll hopefully be vlogging by next week.
First let me thank Doc for lending me space on his new website to feature this material. We go back & he's always been a standup guy, plus his beats are flippin ridiculous. Click Here to see all the tracks of mine that he's produced. If you're new to me, I used to go by epideMIC, that's me. ANYWAY...
Again, the purpose of "31 Days Of Dreams" is to refamiliarize people with my music. This isn't gonna be the typical 31 brand new songs that you lose track of. Some of the songs will be brand new, some unreleased, and some will be classics. This is all leading up to my new project "Dreaming Out Loud" that'll be available digitally on October 31st. Let's go...
Today we start 31 Days of Dreams with the song that started it all..."Closer pt 2".
Everybody LOVES this song, and while I agree it's dope...to be completely honest I hate it. I guess a piece of me feels as if I have over 400 songs in my catalog & this is the one that everybody comes back to. Now I know how Eminem feels about My Name Is, or the way Jay-Z feels about Hard Knock Life...I feel I have better material. But if this is the song that gets everybody going, who am I to deny its power?
NOW, I do this song for personal reasons. Part 1 was done back in 2003 & the dreams I was trying to get closer to then aren't the same ones I want now. I did the 2nd one in 2006, and part 3 (which will be on Wake Up 3) will be another gauge to see where I am as a person, how far have I come (or gone). So if you've NEVER heard this song, press play &enjoy.
I'm gonna break the "classics week" & put out a brand new song tomorrow. Something to ride out to for the weekend....peace
