In honor of Valentine's Day (and more specifically because I've been extra sappy this week) I'm releasing a free mixtape tomorrow entitled "The Nina Mosley Experience". If you're not familiar with the story, Nina Mosley (Nia Long) was the love interest of Darius Lovehall (Larenz Tate) in the 1997 film "Love Jones". In the movie, Darius seemingly had himself together, but realized he was missing something. When he met Nina, he knew that she was a valuable missing piece to his puzzle. The story weaves in & out a realistic tale of love, hurt & confusion. I've noticed that every year more & more people are bitter around this time. People are either alone or in unfruitful relationships. And with the year that I've had, I've realized that all relationships, whether they be good or bad experiences, always come with valuable lessons that mold you into a better person. There's a little Darius in all of us; once we find out what it is we are purposed for, the next stage in life is to find our Nina Mosley. In that search comes a pleathora of emotions, endless highs & groundbreaking lows. But it's simply a part of life. The experience...in our search for Nina Mosley.

Here's a track from my upcoming project "Dreaming Out Loud". I've been writing since I was 7. I've had articles & poems placed in national publications. I've had people change their lives due to the content in my music. And I've never written anything that sounded quite like this...I hope you enjoy.

Basically the plan was to smooth Dreaming Out Loud's edges over this past weekend, I could turn in the tracklisting & thank yous to my graphic designer (www.imtasha.com cheap plug, she's a beast) & everything would be wrapped up by Wednesday & Saturday morning I'd wake up & bless the masses. Unfortunately, this was not to be...

Friday evening my computer started to hiccup & somehow caught a virus. The virus wouldn't let me pull up any programs or anything to fix it. Working on it til Saturday afternoon I finally got it to work but when the antivirus asked me to restart, it refused to reboot & basically crashed on me...with all the master files for Dreaming Out Loud. Some songs I hadn't rendered yet & hadn't backed up.
So ultimately there's no way possible that I could re-record 6 songs & get them mixed down between now & Friday, plus I'm not settling over some funky release date, plus I'm sick as a dog & don't have the energy to record or re-record anything. So I have to push it back. How far?? HOPEFULLY no more than a month at the latest...I would say 2 weeks though. But don't hold me to that.

I prolly gotta give y'all something else in return too, huh...hit me up & give me suggestions. I'm sorry y'all...

Ventilation...THE most sincere, open, & honest project I've done. I was going through a bout with depression & I let everything out on that CD. To this day it's hard for me to listen to because it takes me back to that time, how I felt, what I was going through. I listened to it last week for the 1st time in about a year & a half & felt victory.

"So Far Away" was the culmination of me missing my family & friends. A lot of people I had considered friends at that time weren't being very friendly & this track kinda let em have it. So yeah, this is one of the many reasons why I ain't so popular in Colorado nowadays, lol. Enjoy...

i'm very up & down about this song...on one hand I think it's one of my favorite verses. The whole thing is a double entendre & I think only if you're around me 24 hours/day would you be able to understand. Out of the 8,000 songs Ca$h Rich Tunes & I have done, this is by far my favorite. Everytime this comes on in the ipod I end up doing 90 & above, SMH. I don't wanna start the circle jerk but Rich is one of the most talented dudes I know & we compliment each other very well. And yes, All Angles is done...kinda. lol...will it come out?? Maybe....
